The BIG & small Insect Show was presented as part of Art on the Atlanta BeltLine. It was performed on October 13th, 2012 under the Virginia Ave. Bridge.
The show started with a humorous musical lesson on the history of entomology and an introduction of the company members including two young and exuberant insect collectors. Over the course of the evening, the company will shared stories from their world famous “insectopedia”-- a catalogue of caterpillars, spiders, larvae, mantis, bugs, bees, crickets, grasshoppers, and worms, and provided spectators with up-close looks of creatures by means of projections magnified boxes, and live demonstrations. The performance featured music, dance, puppetry, clowning and comedic poems. The evening concluded with a dazzling display of creatures that glow, blink, phosphoresce and light up. |
