Park Cofield & Co. is a fictitious monster hunting company comprised of storytellers, musicians, clowns, puppeteers, folklorists and humorists. The company collaboratively creates site-specific work based on unknown facts, peculiar specimens from nature, myths, tall-tales, and legends. The work of Park Cofield & Co. was first commissioned by Art on the Atlanta BeltLine in the summer of 2010. Their first spectacle event, SEE THE GYRASTACUS, was based on Southern hunting legends and concluded by introducing a frightful creature to the city of Atlanta. The company returned to the BeltLine in 2011 with The Ogre's Arm and shared stories and myths about creatures from their adventures in the Eastern world. Their most recent project, The BIG & small Insect Show, was presented on October 13, 2012 at dusk on the BeltLine under the Virginia Avenue Bridge at 10th and Monroe.
